ANKARSRUM Lemon Poppy bundt cake, with recipe video

Make this delicious and showy lemon-orange, sligthly poppy seed bundt cake with lemon frosting. It is easy to prepare and crumbly, so it is both good to prepare and eat.

Ingredients:

210 grams of yeast dough or pizza flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
3 tbs ground poppy seeds (27 grams)
125 grams room temperature butter
225 grams sugar
3 eggs
3-4 tbs orange juice, which you can easily squeeze out with this head part
The peel of two medium-sized washed lemons, preferably organic
100 ml Greek yogurt

Lemon glaze:

200 grams powdered sugar
2-3 tbs lemon juice

ANKARSRUM Lemon poppy seed bundt cake step by step:

• Preheat the oven to 175°C and watch the recipe video by clicking here!
• Assemble the ANKARSUM stand mixer with the 3.5 litres plastic bowl and the double whisk attachment, which are part of the starter kit, as shown in this video.Mix the butter with the sugar until foamy, then add the eggs one by one.
• In a separate bowl mix the flour with the baking powder, baking soda and poppy seeds.
• Now pour the flour into the mixing bowl of the ANKARSRUM stand mixer, and start mixing with the whisk at the lowest speed.
• Add the yogurt, orange juice and lemon peel.
• Pour the mass into a buttered and floured mold, which is approx. It has a diameter of 23 cm and a maximum capacity of 2.4 liters.
• Place the cake in the lower part of the oven and bake for approx. 35-40 minutes. Use a toothpick to check whether it is cooked, then let it cool on a cooling rack.

ANKA tip:

Take it out of the mold after 10 minutes. When the cake has completely cooled, mix the powdered sugar with the lemon juice and pour it over the kuglóf.
