Eggs and ham: ideas for Easter

The Easter ham

Easter ham is the most famous Easter food. The tradition of ham is linked to the Christian holiday. It is eaten on this holiday in many countries in Europe. Ham has been preserved in many different ways, in some places the meat is aged in the salty steam of the sea air, in other places, such as here, it is smoked and cooked. Ham is traditionally eaten with mustard or horseradish. But now we show you some more creative approaches:

Ham and carrot pumpkin cream soup: cook a pumpkin and if you are brave enough, you can add a portion of carrots to enhance the massively sweet flavor provided by the vegetables. Ham and cheese stuffed mushrooms: Remove the stem of the mushroom, then mix the diced ham, grated cheese and parsley. Fill it into the mushroom heads, then bake it in the oven. You can soften this filling with sour cream or cream cheese, for which you can also mince the ham. The egg

The Easter egg is also an important element in the culture of many countries, as a symbol of fertility, it is simultaneously associated with the anticipation of spring and sacredness.  On this holiday, people in almost every country paint eggs and give each other gifts. Let's see what else you can do with this Easter dish in addition to dyed hard-boiled eggs. 

Easter stuffed eggs: Hard-boil some eggs, then cut them in half and remove the yolks. Mix mayonnaise, mustard and chopped green onion with the yolk, then fill the eggs with it.

Egg-spinach lasagna: Mix cooked spinach, ricotta, parmesan and beaten egg. Layer the spinach mixture and lasagna dough in a baking dish, then bake.

Egg and ham salad: Cut up a salad, tomato and cucumber, but you can add any vegetables or replace the ones listed with any vegetables. Spinach leaves, arugula, iceberg lettuce, which you supplement with avocado, and then perhaps add a little red onion to the result. And mix the vegetables with ham and chopped eggs.
