This is how to use chocolate santa!

This is how to use chocolate santa!

In December, most children's shelves (and even adults') are filled with chocolate bars. At first, the Santa chocolates are running out, but as the days go by, somehow the chocolate Santa doesn't want to be any less. The children get bored of them, after the Christmas menu there is no more room for them in their tummies - eventually we tend to forget about them.

Then, unfortunately, their warranty expires - and they end up in the trash. You can prevent exactly this if you use them creatively!

#1 Hot chocolate

Who could say no to hot chocolate in the cold, winter months? All you have to do is put the chocolate santa in a mug, pour hot milk over it and top it off with a little whipped cream.

#2 Chocolate chips

Chocolate chips are the "basic ingredient" of countless cakes - why not make them at home using chocolate paste? Just put the Santa chocolate in the freezer for a few hours, then grate it with a grater! You don't need a better Christmas cookie topping than that!

#3 Chocolate mousse

Take some eggs and separate the white from the yolk! Flavor the protein to your liking (cinnamon, sugar, gingerbread spice, coconut, etc.), then beat it into mousse! Melt the chocolate Santa and mix it into the mousse! Put it all in the fridge for 3-4 hours - and the divine chocolate mousse is ready!

#4 Chocolate fountain

The perfect base for the chocolate fountain is the chocolate cake! You just have to melt the chocolate and let it go in the fountain. And don't forget about slicing the banana, kiwi or apple so you have something to dip into the chocolate cascade!

#5 Chocolate-apple stick candy

And speaking of apples! Wash and peel some apples and cut them into equal sized slices. Melt the chocolate santa, mix in a little coconut oil! Stick the apple slices on a stick, then roll them in the chocolate! Let the chocolate harden a little (you can even put it in the fridge for a while), and the chocolate-apple stick candy is ready! You can also make it crazy with a little caramel or shredded coconut!

How to melt the chocolate santa?

If you pour hot milk over the chocolate, it will still "collapse" but probably won't melt completely. Therefore, it is better to melt it over steam or in the microwave.
And if you decide to melt it over a fire, be sure to add butter (or coconut oil) so it doesn't burn! And make sure to do it on low heat!

The so-called "cold dog"

Ingredients

  • approx. 20-25 dkg chocolate santa made of milk chocolate
  • approx. 20-25 dkg chocolate santa made of dark chocolate
  • 20 dkg of coconut oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 20-25 dkg butter biscuits
  • 4 tablespoons of rum
  • 1-2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • powdered sugar

Preparation

1. Break the chocolate santa into small pieces and melt them. Add the coconut oil in the meantime!

2. Using a stand mixer mix the eggs together with the cocoa powder, rum and powdered sugar until creamy. Then stir in the melted chocolate!

3. Line an oblong, preferably square baking dish with foil and spread a little of the chocolate cream on the bottom, then pack in a row of biscuits!

4. Another layer of cream can come, then another row of biscuits! (If you think about it, you can add a few more layers like this! The main thing is that the cream is on top!)

5. Place the whole thing in the fridge overnight, then the next day cover the whole thing on a plate! Pull off the foil and that certain "cold dog" is ready!
