The Basics of Drying

The machine is easy to use: all you have to do is insert the trays filled with fruit into the rails on the inside, put the front and back panels on the machine, plug it into the network, and the drying process can begin! But before we get started, let's go over some basics:

- Wash the fruits before drying.
- It is better to dry certain fruits with the seeds removed. For example: grapes, cherries or plums.
- If you are drying sweeter, softer fruit, such as bananas, it is important to put thicker slices in the machine, otherwise they will stick to the tray.
- If you are drying fruits with a waxy skin, it is worth placing the slices with the skin facing down.
- For drying, you can choose from several built-in modes, from quick drying (HOT) to economical and more natural (BIO) settings. We can also customize the length and temperature of the program.

Due to its seasonality, we tried grape drying a few weeks ago. For this, we used a faster, transitional program that heated and dried the fruit kernels at 50-55 degrees Celsius. In the case of grapes, you can speed up the process by cutting the grape in half. Although drying is usually not worth rushing so much.

Certain programs can last up to 30-48 hours.
