Tomato sauce and other delicacies for which you need a squeezer

What is squeezing?
Squeezing is a kitchen process in which fiber-rich, somewhat thick juice or pulp is made from foods with coarser fibers, such as fruits or certain vegetables. We separate the soft, valuable part of fruits and vegetables from the more solid skeleton material, as well as mostly from the skin and seed. Or this is how we separate the smaller, stringy bones from the fish.
It is done by squeezing the prepared vegetables and fruits through a perforated sieve designed for this purpose. This breaks the soft stock, i.e. the pulp, and thus the coarser, indigestible parts get stuck on the sieve (this is the squeezing waste), while the fine-textured, digestible parts flow through it. The juice, puree or sauce made from pureed vegetables and fruits is made up of the latter.
Squeezing is possible with several different types of squeezer. In our offer you will also find manual squeezer, electric squeezer and their accessories!
Tomato squeezing
Tomatoes are a very popular ingredient. The thick tomato sauce makes many Italian dishes really appetizing, but it can also be used to make tomato soup or tomato cabbage.
It is best if you make tomato paste at home, because then you can shape it perfectly according to your taste. The tomato squeezers are at your disposal!
Making nectar
Juices made from fruits (or vegetables), with at least 50% fruit (or vegetable content) and rich in fiber are called nectar. (In addition, the name nectar is most often used for the sweet, sugar-containing liquid secreted by plants and collected by bees.)
With the TRE SPADE Easy Squeezy strainer you too can make divine fruit nectar!
Its Italian manufacturer developed it specifically for pressing and pureeing vegetables and fruits. It is easy to use (it can be disassembled without tools), saves you a lot of energy and is very easy to clean. Because of the massive and strong structure, it is suitable for extracting the juice of countless fruits and vegetables.
It comes with four stainless steel sieves, each with a different hole diameter (0.5 mm; 0.8 mm; 1.5 mm; 2 mm). The instructions for use will help you decide which one you should use!
In addition, a stainless steel dispenser, collection tray and anti-splash cover, as well as a screw made of food-grade plastic make the squeezing easier and more efficient. We also recommend our TC-8 ECO meat mincer head part or TC-8 INOXmeat mincer head part, as well as our jam funnel.
The device is perfectly suited for making fibrous nectar from, for example, apples or peaches, but also for making purees from beets or, say, beans. And don't forget about the juices you can make from blueberries, strawberries or, for example, currants!
Squeezing of blackberries
If you want to squeez blackberries with the device, remove any stems from the fruit! Apart from that, you don't have to prepare anything else!
It is recommended to use the smallest sieve with a hole diameter of 0.5 mm. One squeezing cycle will be enough, and you will already have a thick liquid that tastes like blackberries. You can add other ingredients (sugar, lemon juice, juice of other forest fruits) and you have a divine juice. But you can also use it as a syrup or even make a heavenly syrup for lemonade.
Raspberries squeezing
A close relative of the blackberry is the raspberry, from which you can also make delicious nectar. For this you also need to use a sieve with the smallest hole diameter, and this time 2 squeezing cycles are recommended.
Grape squeezing
Do you like grape juice? Make it yourself at home! Prepare the bunches of white grapes so that only soft stems remain, and then you can begin the squeezing!
Use the sieve with a hole diameter of 0.8 mm, and after one cycle, perfectly smooth grape juice is ready.
Squeezing chickpeas
If you want to make silky chickpea cream, the TRE SPADE Easy Squeezy strainer will also come in handy. Prepare the chickpeas by boiling them, then pour off the juice. (Possibly, you can flavor it already then with, for example, roasted onions or basil.) Use the sieve with a hole diameter of 0.8 mm to squeez it through, and if you still find too much excess water in it, start a second cycle as well! The end result will be an incredibly delicious and soft cream, which can be an excellent side dish, for example.
If you want to make falafel, you need to prepare the chickpeas more thoroughly! (It is best if you use black chickpeas.) You have to soak it for 24 hours, with parsley, 1-2 cloves of garlic, red onion and 1 ginger, if you like. Squeezing can then begin using a sieve with a hole diameter of 1.5 mm. It is worth mixing it with the ingredients used for flavoring, and thus go through 4 squeezing cycles! At this point, the chickpea puree will have the right consistency, and all you have to do is make falafel out of it - and then devour it all!
