The three crossed swords ("Tre Spade") first appeared in 1894 as a motif on an Italian coffee grinder, born at the same time as the Italian coffee culture. These products have been manufactured for decades to the great satisfaction of customers, never succumbing to the pressure of lowering the price of the products with cheap but low quality components.
