FOCACCIA sandwich bread, with recipe video

On cold, winter days, it's better to enjoy the warmth of your home and prepare tasty dishes. The Ankarsrum mixer also helps ensure that the Mediterranean flavor stays with you regardless of the season. Make this fabulous, homemade fociacca sandwich bread with us and feel a small slice of Italian gastronomy!

Our recipe is from the ANKARSRUM recipe book and we also brought a recipe video!

Ingredients:

• 25 grams of fresh yeast

• 400 ml of water

• 50 ml of olive oil

• 4.5 cups of high-quality bread flour (the cup should be 2.5 dl)

• 10 grams of salt

• 15 grams of honey

• 3 tablespoons of olive oil, or to taste, for greasing

• Fresh rosemary and sea salt to taste

FOCIACCA sandwich bread step by step:

• To make the dough, assemble your ANKARSRUM mixer with the 7-liter stainless steel mixing bowl, the spiral kneading hook and the kneading roller, as well as the scraper for the mixing bowl, which prevents the dough from sticking to the walls of the bowl.

• Crumble the yeast into the bowl, add the water, salt, olive oil and honey.

• Start your ANKARSRUM mixer at medium speed.

• Gradually add flour.

• When the dough has come together, put the lid on the metal bowl and let it rise for 40 minutes.

• Place the dough in a baking tray lined with baking paper.

• Leave for another 30 minutes.

• Press the top with your fingers.

• Brush the top with olive oil, sprinkle with rosemary and sea salt.

• Set the oven to 225 ° C.

• Bake in the middle of the oven for 25 minutes.

• When it's ready, you can serve it!

ANKA TIP:

Serve with extra virgin olive oil or dried tomatoes in oil. For adults, we recommend semi-dry Prosecco
