Gammo stories: from simpler tasks to great responsibility

In June 2024, it will be 9 years since I found the job advertisement of Gammo Europe Kft. Based on the description, I was sure that I would like to work here. The originally applied for position was a "warehouse/customer service" position. As a hospitality and hotel economist and 20 years spent in the field of logistics, I felt I could find my place here.
This happened over time, but as a first step I had to convince the headhunting lady during the telephone interview that this position was created for me.
The first live interview was in a cafe, where over a cookie and coffee, the manager convinced me that I belonged in the Gammo team.

The interview went so well that since then I have been able to try myself in several different positions, and thanks to the completion of many tasks, I was promoted to the position of executive assistant this year. My greatest experience at Gammo is being able to participate in the company's continuous development and growth. We are present in more and more countries and this is clearly visible, as the number of customer service team has increased to 6 people in the last 10 years.

One of my positive experiences this year was that a customer came to the office who barely spoke Hungarian and tried to inquire shyly. When I asked what language he wanted to communicate in, the answer was Serbian. I was able to speak to one of my colleagues right away, who works in Croatian customer service, but understood the lady and was able to help place the order.My other positive experience is that during the handling of complaints, I receive more and more feedback that the administration at Gammo is fair.

I mainly go to work by bicycle, which has attracted the attention of many of my colleagues. Many people realized that you can go to work from almost anywhere by bicycle - both from different districts of the city and even from the agglomeration.
Since last year, the company has also made two electric bikes available if someone comes from further away.

This year, a couple of colleagues and I are planning to cycle around Lake Balaton in one day. I hope to report on this in another blog.
